Are you a skilled engineer with a passion for designing and delivering effective safety solutions? One of our top clients is seeking a Design and Commissioning Engineer to specialize in the design, installation, and commissioning of building safety and protection systems. This role focuses on creating cost-effective, compliant solutions that meet client requirements while working closely with multiple departments to ensure smooth project execution.

 

What's expected of you?

  • Develop detailed designs for building safety and protection systems, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards
  • Specify components and materials to meet project scope and client requirements
  • Collaborate with project management and commercial teams to integrate designs into overall project plans
  • Conduct site surveys to assess installation quality and system functionality
  • Oversee the commissioning process to ensure systems operate as designed
  • Perform tests and inspections to verify performance and compliance
  • Monitor project progress to identify and resolve design or installation issues, maintaining timelines and quality standards
  • Ensure all designs and installations meet industry regulations and company standards, including ISO and LPCB requirements
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including design revisions, calculations, and client communications
  • Provide regular progress updates to management and stakeholders
  • Mentor junior team members in design and commissioning best practices
  • Lead internal training on new technologies and industry standards

 

What are you expected to bring?

  • Hold a Mechanical Engineering warrant
  • Experience in designing and commissioning building safety and protection systems
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and relevant design software, with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new digital tools and technologies
  • Tech-savvy, comfortable using modern software and digital platforms to streamline design and project workflows
  • Strong knowledge of industry standards and safety regulations
